Our wonderful array of spa experience allows the guest to feel the benefits of the heat and cold, light and darkness, touch and aromas, as they take a journey through the rooms.

Balinese Multi-Steam Bath

Balinese Multi-Steam Bath

With it’s theme taken from the island of Bali the guest is transported back to steam experience from another world. With the glittering light and the exotic aroma the guest relaxes in this wonderful atmosphere. The temperature is around 45ºc with a humidity of 90 - 100%.

As you inhale deeply and constantly the steam blended with the fresh aroma of jasmin you will start perspiring. The body heats up gently, which stimulates the blood circulation and initiates a purifying and detoxifying process. Eucalyptus is an outstanding respiratory antiseptic and ideally used in a steam inhalation. It also gives temporary relief of bronchial cough, head colds, congested headaches and stuffed sinuses. Ihe icy fire of menthol clears the nasal passages and is well known as a temporary relief of the symptoms of colds, flu, sinusitis and congestion. also gives temporary relief to digestive headaches, indigestion, and nausea.

Greek Herbal Bath

This is a gentle and relaxing treatment that almost anyone can enjoy. It has a mild temperature (around 60ºC) and average humidity (around 60%). Every 12 minutes the herb tray will be automatically sprayed with water onto one of the following fresh herbs to release the aroma:

  1. CAMOMILE: Gentle herb that cultivates a calm and relaxed state of being. Promotes a good nights sleep, soothing the mind, body and spirit.

  2. SAGE: Reviving stress-relieving herb to counter tiredness and fatigue.

  3. ROSEMARY: Stimulates the mind and body. Promotes clarity of thought, sharp memory and focused thinking.   

After 5 to 10 minutes, you will start to perspire, which triggers the therapeutic detoxifying and purifying process.

Great to cool you down after a sauna; take handfuls of cold ice flakes and rub them all over your body. The ice stimulates the circulation, the lymphatic and immune systems, and is a great stress-reliever.

With its theme taken from a Maharaja’s palace, you will be transported back to a steam experience from another age. With the glittering lights and exotic aroma, its wonderful atmosphere is totally relaxing . 

 

The temperature in this room is around 45ºC with a humidity of 90-100%. As you enter the fresh aromas of eucalyptus and menthol will help you to gently perspire and assist in clear breathing. As the body temperature rises gently, this will stimulate the circulation and initiate a purifying and detoxifying process. The ideal time is this steam room is 15-20 minutes and afterwards we recommend a refreshing shower followed by a period of relaxation before moving on to your next experience.

The Japanese Salt Steam Bath

The Japanese Salt Steam Bath

Steam, essential oils and salt combine to create the sea atmosphere of this unique inhalation room. It is especially good for clearing congestion and helping you to breath more easily. The cabin temperature reaches 45ºC and the humidity is between 90 and 100%. The body heats up gently as you start to perspire. The automatically injected jet of steam stimulates the blood circulation and starts the purifying and detoxifying process.

Take one of the individual seats, ergonomically shaped for a very comfortable position. The seats are heated, as are the walls, and the central table can be used as a foot rest.

The central focus is the illuminated rose quartz, a stone with great healing qualities and the capacity to stimulate the senses to heightened awareness.

The Laconium

The Laconium

This is a very gentle heat bath to purify and detoxify the body. The cabin temperature is mild (around 65ºC) and the humidity very low (between 15 to 20%). It produces a dry, relaxing environment that was a favourite with the Roman Patricians. This makes it an ideal starting point for the whole spa experience.

The body heats up slowly and gently and you’ll start to perspire after about 15 minutes. When you feel hot, direct the cold-water ‘Kneipp’ hose all over your body, starting with the extremities and always working towards the heart. Your skin will tingle and feel refreshed. Ideally, spend between 15 to 20 minutes in the Laconium. Take a mild shower before your next experience. Make sure you drink several cups of water to keep the body hydrated.

Combine the heat treatments with this unique shower experience, using the following options:

 

 

Rain
Refresh yourself with a cold rain shower. Use it in combination with the heat treatments for stimulating and toning the body.

Side
Press the button to activate the side body jets. These are particularly stimulating and excellent for poor circulation.

Head
A classic head shower. feel the water all over your body as it drenches you in soothing, warm water.

Tropic
Surrender yourself to tropical rain, drenched in huge droplets from the shower head. A warm, orange glow and the scent of maracuja enhances the tropical feeling.

Fresh
Cold, refreshing mist is sprayed all over your body. This is a tingling, refreshing and revitalising experience.

Reflexology Footbaths

Reflexology Footbaths

Begin your spa experience with the reflexology foot basins, this enables the body temperature to raise slightly, preparing you for the heat you will undergo in the spa experiences. Sit on the tile surface with your feet in the basin.

The reflexology foot basin sensor will recognize that you have placed your feet in and will start to fill automatically with warm water. Once the basin has filled, it will start to bubble. The bubbles will stimulate the reflex zones on the bottom of your feet. You will find this will relax your whole body. Once the bubbles have stopped, the foot basin will automatically drain. The sequence has now finished and you can now move on to the other experiences.

Turkish Hammam

This is the classic Turkish Bath, inspired by the Sultans in their glittering palaces on the Bosphorus. In a temperature of around 45ºC and a humidity of between 90-100%, the body heats up gently to stimulate the blood circulation and to purify and detoxify.

The eucalyptus in the steam is an excellent decongestant and assists in clear breathing, soothing and uplifting during the cold season.

The ideal time in this steam bath is 10 to 15 minutes, Take a refreshing shower afterwards, following by between 15 to 20 minutes rest.

This beautiful vista leads your eye to the surrounding forest beyond the Aqua Sana to remind you of your location, yet you can equally imagine being in the Tyrol after embracing the Tyrolean Sauna and Ice Fountain ritual so enjoyed by the Austrians.

Tyrolean Sauna

Tyrolean Sauna

This traditional wood-lined sauna is warm and dry, with a temperature between 80 - 100ºC. The body heats up quickly, which induces perspiration and opens up the pores. It cleanses the body of impurities and is thought to enhance the body’s immune defences as well as relieving stress.

First, take a shower and towel yourself dry. Ideally start by relaxing your feet in the reflexology footbaths so that you begin a gradual warming process from the feet upwards.

The setting on the sauna is on two levels, and the higher you go, the hotter it is.

Between 8 to 10 minutes is the recommended time for staying in the cabin. For maximum effect, use the sauna in combination with the Ice Font or the cold experience showers.

Zen Garden

Zen Garden

Designing gardens for meditation was an offshoot of zen buddism, whose monks and priests sought to achieve enlightenment and spiritual insight from quiet contemplation. 

 

Enjoy the relaxation and restorative qualities of this garden. The gravel symbolises a sea of tranquillity. the rocks and meandering stepping stones within this ‘sea’ symbolise islands or mountains above the clouds. The senses are awakened by the colour of the japanese maples, the scent of the majestic mountain pine and the trickle of water from the bamboo. Try walking barefoot along the cobbles to the front of the pergola for a stress-relieving foot massage.
