Growing medicinal plants is a science, and extra effort is spent selecting only the finest seeds, growing them in the most effective conditions and cultivating them just at the right time. The plants are then dried carefully and the active ingredients extracted using highly technical equipment. Elemis plant essential oils are most potent and are extracted only once from the plant. However, there is one other, perhaps even more important reason why they are so powerful on the skin. It is because Elemis use Absolutes,
the purest form of living energy extracted from the plant. The Absolute is made up from essential oil, plus the waxes and pigments from the flower; they are rich in colour, actives and have an aroma which is 40 times that of an essential oil.
Elemis is politically responsible and constantly researches innovative ways to package its products with minimal environmental impact. They do not use wood from endangered forests to create our packaging or promotional literature, but instead source it from companies that provide the pulp from tree farms that are grown specifically for the paper industry.
Elemis does not test, nor condone the testing of cosmetics on animals. Our ancient formulas extinguish any need for this type of research and every time a new product is launched it is only after many human guinea pigs have chosen to subject their body to try our newly formulated aromatherapy products.
