Spa Etiquette
Using the Spa – the Basics
We recommend that you warm up your body gradually and progress through the various temperatures of the different saunas to give yourself the best results. The Reflexology Footbaths are designed as the perfect way to gently start the warming process, and they’re always to be found as you enter the Spa. Following this, one of the more gentle rooms such as the Laconium is a good way to start, and 10-15 minutes per experience is appropriate depending on how comfortable you are with the level of heat. Following each sauna, you should shower in one of our experience showers and rest the body for a further 10minutes before moving on to the next room. We allow you plenty of space and loungers in which to lie back and a robe and towels are provided for you.
Peace and Quiet
Spas can be about taking time out to relax with friends or family, but it’s important to remember that relaxation should mean “me-time” and that tranquillity is a key element in the relaxation process. Therefore we recommend that your time is best used in peaceful meditation to relax the mind, and this in turn will help your fellow guests to relax too.
Leave the Outside World behind
Forget the mobile phone – we don’t allow them in the spa, and it will help you to switch off!
That goes for all gadgets that don’t belong in the spa!
Enjoy!
Don’t forget to tell yourself why you deserve your pampering treat! Our lives are so hectic and complicated today that it’s important to take time out to recover from the stresses we face and reward yourself for your achievements – so lie back, be happy and indulge in our spa pleasures.
