History of Aqua Sana
The first UK Aqua Sana opened in 1987 at Sherwood Forest as a Hair and Beauty concept salon within the village consisting of four Treatment rooms, two Thalasso therapy rooms, three Flotation rooms, and a Hair dressing salon.
In addition to the Aqua Sana, there was a small Spa located next to the Sub-tropical swimming paradise this included a sauna, a Turkish steam room and plunge pool.
However the first vision of the World of Spa came to fruition in 2000 at Longleat Forest within its beautiful Romanesque building with the first prototype of the new style of Spas presenting a variety of spa experiences around a central outdoor pool, together with a treatment suite, cafe and hair and nails studio.
In September 2002 the new Spa concept was taken to yet another level, culminating in the opening of the superb Aqua Sana at Sherwood Forest. This magnificent new building encompasses 23 Treatment rooms, a World of Spa set upon two levels including twelve thermal experiences, a Hydrotherapy Pool, two gardens. A Hair and Nail Studio and a Conservatory Café compliment the facilities.
The phenomenal successes following the opening of the new Aqua Sana resulted in the rollout of the latest concept at both Elveden Forest and Oasis Whinfell forest during 2003.
In early 2006, the Aqua Sana at Longleat Forest was extended and developed in line with the other three Aqua Sana’s to bring all four Village to the same high standard.
